1. a.Key features are falsifiable predictions, replicable observations, and parsimony. 2. a. Snakes can hurt people therefore people are scared of them. b. If people don’t go around snakes, getting hurt and death wouldn’t be a problem, and by not going around them, that’s why we have humans on this Earth. Because people found out that if they avoid snakes they won't get hurt. c. One way is to compare the two is by seeing if the people that are afraid of snakes are able to maintain their fear while still avoiding snakes and reproducing to make the world and population continue. Another way is to see how many people survived snakes while avoiding them and who did not. 3. a. Blank slate idea is the idea where a person has only been influenced by the people and culture that are around them. b. Walking and talking and how you go about your day is one example of how people are “trained” to be a certain way. Another one is that people are smart and they will do what they see others doing if that means they will survive. Last one is that people opposite sex are going to follow each other because they’re naturally more attracted to each other, and will copy or follow in the other’s footsteps. 4. a. 1. Is a trait more influenced by genetics or environment? 2. Is the trait based on biology or culture? b. Nature and nurture phenomenon is the most helpful to decide how someone was raised. c. All traits are biological, so determining the rest that comes after that can make it not as useful.

5. a. Origins or ontogeny of schizophrenia are more likely to be shown due to their genetics not the environment. b. Heritability of schizophrenia is higher because it’s more known to the genes despite the environment. c. Tells us whether a trait is more likely to occur or not....
