Coffee House’s aim is to offer organic, free trade, and/or locally sourced coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. A new café is opening in Bloomington called Coffee House. The PR campaign is to promote Coffee House and get people to come.
Goals
What you want the PR campaign to achieve for your organization.
The goal of the PR campaign is to get more customers to come to the Coffee House and to get people talking about it.
Strategies
The methods by which you will achieve your goals.
I will achieve those goals by putting ads in local Bloomington newspapers such as the IDS to spread the word to students. I would also make sure the Coffee House had very active social media showing what makes it stand out and what it has to offer because people respond positively to that. I would also make sure there is a calming vibe to the Coffee House because again, people tend to like calm and cozy coffee shops.
Target audiences
The types of people you want to reach.
The types of people I would want to reach are students, and people in their early 20s. I chose that audience because those are the groups that go to coffee chops the most so it would be beneficial to advertise towards them.
Key target media
The specific media channels, i.e. publications and programs, toward which you will direct your PR efforts.
Instagram will be used to spread the news and to interact with customers. Putting ads in the IDS and other local newspapers or having them write a story about the Coffee House will spread the word to students and faculty at IU....
