Ratifying the Constitution 1. In the 1780’s, how were the citizens of the United States able to keep up to date with the current events? CItizens were able to keep up to date with the current events by newspapers, pamphlets, sermons, speeches, and everyday conversations. 2. What was Federalist Paper No. 1? Federalist Paper No. 1 consisted of support for the constitution and persuasion for New York to ratify. 3. As the essays for support of the Constitution continued, they were collected in a single volume called what? The continued essays were collected to be called the Federalist. 4. Why were some people angered at the thought of the Constitution? Some people were angered over the constitution because they feared the government would become too strong and that the new Constitution would limit the State Legislature. 5.
