Specific topic: Workplace Diversity Diversity in the workplace is connected to setting up a thorough environment, enduring every individual's aberrations, engaging all agents to achieve their greatest limit, and hence, allowing your business to show up at its fullest potential. Recently, Walmart is one of the most diverse employers in the US (Walmart careers, 2021). I worked at Walmart in the past. Different cultural and religion people work there. Both males and females work together and no one is ever discriminated against. If unfortunately, someone does discriminate other colleagues, then Walmart has an online site known as Walmart Global Ethics where anyone can complain about other people who have discriminated or abused him/her. Moreover, there are two incidents I would share here, which describe why workplace diversity is necessary, once I met a South African customer in Walmart, he didn’t know any language except, Afrikaans. He was asking me something about shoes, but I was unable to understand, so I called my colleague who was from Africa and then she guided him. The other event was of Chinese New Year’s time. Each employee has to wear a batch which has something written on it in the Chinese language. Also, in the lounge room cakes and pizzas were distributed just to celebrate Chinese New Year. This way every cultural celebration was celebrated in Walmart. Overall, workplace diversity plays a vital role in an organization. Also, when workers feel acknowledged and esteemed they are less inclined to wander if another chance were to emerge, and less inclined to chase for new freedoms. Word Count: 256 References: Peeps HR.
