Description

Ex 1: The human rights issue in the book Hiroshima is the lack of health care in Japan. This relates to real life issues in the united states because for example, in the article ( The U.S. Healthcare System is Broken: A National Perspective) It states” Due to the shortage of nurses, physicians, and specialists in hospitals and health centers, among other rising challenges in public health care, Americans are unable to get the optimal quality of medical care they require.” Ex 2: Another example would be how covid continues to kill in America. For example, in the article (US Healthcare Problems) it states ” 471K lives have been lost, 1.7T US government dollars have been spent, $3-4T in US GDP is projected to be lost over the next 2 years, and the US unemployment rate is almost double what it was in 2019, with one-third of the total unemployed now categorized as long-term.” Ex 3: Another example would be, in Mexico they have bad healthcare. For example in the article (Healthcare in Mexico) It states ” One of the biggest issues with the healthcare system in Mexico is its financing. Citizens directly pay more than 50% of the total health spending. A study estimates that over two million households commit over a third of their income to medical costs every year. “
