The Samurai Hero Discussion: Bushido Code

Look at the Bushido Code, a traditional system of ideals over centuries in Japan. Do the seven samurai live by this code? Do you see particular virtues represented in the individual samurai? How does this code compare to the Cowboy Code from week 2, which was created by a celebrity?

When it comes to the Bushido Code, the seven samurai barely had the ability to abide by the code since they lacked in a master to serve, failed to defend the villagers from being robbed and murdered. However, their task of teaching peasants who had no experience how to fight basically reflects the code. The code played an important role in the film even though it was never mentioned. It has been confirmed that suicide was mandatory if a samurai fails to complete his tasks. In the film. it was impossible to meet with the demands of the Bushido Code, however, they managed to continue to strive as best as they could.

The Bushido Code compares to the Cowboy Code by making courage and loyalty essential. The Cowboy Code states that cowboys should never take unfair advantage of anyone or betray trust of any kind. On the other hand, The Bushido Code states that would have to indicate sincerity with his own bloodshed....
