Instructions: Answer all questions. Assume any suitable data, if required after stating them clearly.

1. Determine the degree of static and kinematic indeterminacy of the truss shown in Fig. 1. Also, analyze the truss using the method of Consistent Deformation. All the truss members have a cross-sectional area of 2000 mm2. B

2. Using Force method of analysis, draw the bending moment diagram (BMD) of the frame shown in Fig. 2 due to a temperature rise of 400C.

Assume the flexural rigidity

(EI) = 8000 kNm and the coefficient of thermal expansion (α ) = 1×10 -5/oC. [5] 3. Analyze the two-span prismatic continuous beam (Fig. 3) by Slope-deflection method for the given loads. Also, a clockwise rotational slip of 0.002 radians occurs at support C. Draw the BMD. Assume constant EI.
