1.1: Objective Sieve analysis is a procedure that is used in various aspects of civil engineering. This technique is used as tool to assess the particle size distribution of different materials. In terms of soil mechanics this practice is essential in finding the size of the grains of soil and whether they are coarse grained or fine-grained soil. Determining this characteristic is incredibly important to soil mechanics as sieve analysis allows us to figure out the properties of the soil we are sampling. 1.2: Standards followed Standard AS1289.3.1.1-2009 RMIT Central Authentication Service. 2018.
