Printing assignments in larger fonts can be used in any classroom setting to help students with impairments complete assignments independently. Pencil grips for students with impairments help them get better positioning and movement making it easier for them to write clearly and legibly

Students can read and complete assignments independently because the font is big enough for them.

Having a lot of pages for one assignment

Students with visual impairments would benefit from having assignments and reading materials printed in larger fonts.

Improved handwriting. Ability to write independently

May be too big. The texture might be triggering for kids that like to chew on things Less finger movement

Students who have trouble with motor skills can use these to help them improve handwriting

Any activity that requires language

Can be generalized to any communication opportunity. Works for any age (ASHA, 2022)

Potential lower cognitive ability may limit access to communication devices

Provides verbal model of language Provides more complex language use Can expand vocab with multiple choices and pairs visual information with verbal output

Helpful when personnel are not available and are applicable at home

Not user friendly for younger students

Verbal model paired with visual text on screen

May not work for all students, Some assignments may have too many pages if printed in larger font

Students may have sensory issues and may chew/ break pencils or chew on pencil grips
