Speaking Exam Dual language teaching in our school In Belgium you see more and more children of other origins at school. Because of this I agree with the proposal that school staff start hiring interpreters for parents who do not speak Dutch. It is very important that the parents and the school work together to raise and educate children. This will have a positive effect on the learning performance of the children. If the parents know the status of their child, they can then take timely measures. An interpreter is certainly needed if a child is not performing well in school. This allows parents and school staff to communicate and monitor the evolution together before it is too late. Parents and educators must build an educational partnership with the goal of learning, motivation and development of the child. An interpreter is crucial for this. Just the fact that a child knows that their parents are being informed of their achievements at school is enough to study better. On the other hand, I have to admit that parents of foreign origin must learn the Dutch language. Just having an interpreter at school is not enough. In this way they can also help their children with their tasks and tests and keep better informed about the educational evolution of their children. In summary, we can say that an interpreter at school is enormously important for the school development of a child. Collaboration of the school, parent and child must go hand in hand for an effective result....
