Stress Level Test (Self-Assessment)

My score for this stress test was a mild indication of High stress. It suggests that I have symptoms common among people with high stress. Although not a substitute for a proper diagnosis it suggests that I schedule an appointment with my doctor or mental health professional now. https://www.psycom.net/stress-test

The second test I took is located at https://psychcentral.com/quizzes/stress-test#2 How Stressed are you? Stress Test My total score was 80/110 indicates that I am currently very stressed. The results say that people with this amount of stress could benefit from treatment which usually a form of psychotherapy

How can we cope with stress in rearguards to schoolwork?

A: While coping is different for each individual it is important to remember to take time for the appropriate coping mechanisms for what works best for yourself. Having a detail schedule of task that need to be completed is vital to make sure you are taking care of your body and mind. The schedule will allow ones to keep things on track with dead lines and reduce stress from any school work you may have (Scott, 2020).  There has been a study done where it shows that 20% of students say they feel stressed most of the time. The effects of this are that 10% of students have had thoughts of suicide. While 34% of college students at one point had reports of depressed feelings (Writers, 2019).

Personal and life experiences can be important with self-disclosure. Types of self-disclosure can range from the sharing of information about the counselor’s personal life. To having the option of sharing his or her personal opinions about issues and or current events (McLean et al., 2017). For example, as a woman I have been through many things such as pregnancy. While on contraceptives I ended up getting pregnant and losing the baby. This for me was a very stressful time and I needed a ton of help learning how to cope with the loss of the baby. Once going to the doctor, it is normal for them to suggest and speak about their experience with the no contraceptive benefits of contraception (McLean et al., 2017) however, it is rarely ever talked about the risk and potential of getting pregnant while using contraception. Being able to have someone to talk to and have shared experiences to know that you are not alone is key for a lot of people’s recovery and healing. Having the option and understanding with connection of like and shared experiences can help reduce one’s stress and or anxiety.
