List the various definitions and descriptions of worldview found in the textbook and overview. - A worldview is a foundational set of assumptions to which one commits that serves as framework for understanding and interpreting reality and deeply shaped one’s behavior. - A set of assumptions or beliefs about reality that affect how we think and how we live. - The comprehensive perspective from which we interpret all of reality. - Worldviews are composed of assumptions that form something like a foundation for every individual. - A worldview is composed of assumptions to which a person commits.

According to The Beginning of Wisdom, what is the definition of faith? - Trust in and loyalty to a set of core worldview beliefs or in a person; within the Christian worldview, it is the act of trusting in Jesus Christ to define oneself, which constitutes a transformation of a person’s spirit from selfishness to selflessness. 8. Briefly describe the three worldview tests. - Coherence test: a worldview test that examine the internal consistency and rational coherence of worldview assumptions. - Correspondence test: a worldview test that examines a worldviews ability to provide a cogent explanation of reality. - Practical test: a worldview test that examines a worldview workability and practical value in the most important areas of life and experience.

When discussing worldviews, what is the difference between an open system and a closed system? - The difference is an open system is influenced by a spiritual world and says that there is a spiritual force outside of social interaction. A closed system cannot be influenced by outside sources because nothing external exist.
