Is it fair for Juniors to be exempt from finals in classes with mostly Seniors? The population is Juniors and Seniors from Allen High School Sampling Design: ● Assign each classroom that contains both juniors and seniors during 3rd/6th periods a random number ● Using a random number generator, select 3 classrooms ● Separate each class into stratas of juniors and seniors and survey all the students ● Record the response
Juniors:
Addressing Biases: ● Nonresponse Bias : We are only surveying periods 3 and 6 because all students and teachers have those periods ● Response Bias : We are surveying both grade classes in order to get separate responses ● Convenience Sampling : We are completely randomizing the selection process in order to get good data
Seniors:
Uses for Our Data Our data could be used in order to support exemptions for Juniors for final exams, either in classes that are shared with Seniors or even possibly in all of their classes...
