Arsenal of Democracy Speech In this speech, President Franklin D Roosevelt, speaks on the dangers of the war that is a going on in the other side of the Pacific Ocean, which we know today as World War II. Given at this time the United States split in two parties of people who want to join the fight and those who believe we should stay out of it. Thus, he gives this speech as an informative pep talk to the states on the current and possible future danger the war might cause to the states. He touches on the fact that yes, it is not our war, but it could become it. Therefore, he asks everyone to begin using their resources to produce as much goods and raw materials as possible for defense purposes. Then they will send as many as they can over to aid the axis powers, the side fighting for freedom, while keeping the necessary arsenal at home, just in case it is needed....
