COURSE EVALUATION:  Lecture Exams (4) 50% of total grade (12.5% of grade for each)  Laboratory Exams (3) 37.5% of total grade (12.5% of grade for each)  Laboratory Assignments/Post Lab Quizzes 12.5% of total grade (% values varies for each lab) Lecture Exams (4 in total): All lecture exams are non-cumulative and will be announced in advance (see dates on the syllabus schedule). Each exam may consist of multiple-choice, true/false, fill-in, or short-answer questions. Make-up exams will be available but must be taken within one week of the scheduled exam and during a scheduled time arranged with your instructor. If the exam is not made-up within the agreed upon time you will receive ZERO for the exam. Make-up exams will only be allowed in cases of an excused absence (e.g., ill and have provided a doctors note), so please contact your instructor immediately if you are unable to make the exam. Make-up exams may be in an essay format. The note-taking packet made available to you at the beginning of the semester will serve as the review guide for each exam. Laboratory Exams (3 in total): All laboratory exams are non-cumulative and will be announced in advance (see dates on the syllabus schedule). Each exam will consist of fill-in-the-blank questions related to histological specimens, anatomical models, and any additional information at the discretion of the instructor. Make-up exams are at the discretion of the instructor and only allowed in circumstances of an excused absence with supporting documentation (e.g., doctors note). Laboratory Review Assignments and Post-Lab Quizzes: Lab Review Assignments and Post-Lab Quizzes are due in on the dates designated in the schedule at the end of the lab syllabus. All the review assignments and post-lab quizzes are online. Assignments and quizzes are designed to help review material discussed in laboratory class and help review for the exams, consequently these are not available after the due dates specified. For some labs students will have time to complete the Lab Review Assignments in the lab session, or can be completed after the associated lab session (as long as they are completed by the designated due date and time). Each student is responsible for making up missed lab classes by attending a different lab section, but this must be arranged promptly with the student’s instructor and the instructor for the other lab to ensure there is

room to accommodate the student. This is the student’s responsibility to initiate/organize. If all the laboratory sections for the respective week of your laboratory session absence have concluded, a make-up lab option may not be available.
