SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE 1

System Architecture Student’s Name Institution

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE 2 System architecture The system architecture is the descriptive representation of the system’s component functions, and the communication flows between those components. My definition immediately raises some important questions. • What are “components”? The provided definition of system architecture focuses on the system’s components. The system consists of several operational components such as a network of computers, personal computers, a variety of digital applications, and integration of essential elements like virtual machines, databases, load balancers, and cache. Components incorporate various aspects that are used put together in a specific pattern or design or layout to address a particular need. An excellent example is when someone’s computer interacts with a server, whereby the components are the user’s computer, a server, and a firewall (Crawley et al., 2015). Many people that are involved in the digital system can perceive different elements of operation as components that are designed to perform different functions and enhance communication flow. In computer systems, different components of operation include planning, decision making, and implementation, amongst others. The enhancers of these components include the analysts, developers, engineers, managers, implementation teams, and others that might view such components from different points of perceptions in a complex system. • Which functions are relevant? In the provided definition of system architecture, understanding the system component functions is critical in coming up with solutions to technical problems. In this context, we are focusing on

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE 3 the function of such components in the communication systems. It is important to remember that each component is designed in a specific manner to perform a particular function and play a role in achieving certain objectives in solving different problems (Crawley et al., 2015). Different functions are relevant to system architecture. For instance, the security architect has to perform the function of a complex system to enhance smooth operations in the architecture systems. They are tasked with checking the system architecture to see the functioning of the security roles in the complex system. Additionally, we can have a system architect who uses varying guidelines for the function of managing and controlling the complex system architecture. The user of the system determines the function of each component in the digital system. The relevance of each function of components in the complex system depends on the user of the system. For example, each application is designed to perform a specific function in the computer system, and without the user automating the process, it would be difficult to enhance its relevance. • What is a communication flow? The communications flow in our definition of architecture system refers to the capability of the components to interact with each other, hence allowing for the flow of information. Data flow in the complex systems revolves around sending and receiving data from the source to the user. Data exchange in the system entities is part of communication where information moves between several computer components in the system to help in the decision-making process and other functions of the components. Technical system architects carry out the function of communication flow between system devices by ensuring proper data connection and sharing of important details that are used for making decisions and plans. The end-user of the technical

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE 4 systems views the communication flow as the flow of data and information between input and output to meet the user's significant needs (Crawley et al., 2015). The communication flow is the main function of data components that control the information system and helps in evaluating various elements and storing information to use in making important decisions.
