1. Cleared Sites a. Purely focuses on rationalizing land by dividing it for economic and governmental benefit. All sites look the same appearing to give equal access to all parcels. i. Context is synonymous to the environment, both are constantly changing and they exist relative to scale. Context isn’t solely visual. i. Context seen from figure/ground diagrams 4. Placement of a Site a. Position establishes the connection between place and philosophy. i. Spanish Grid, because how they placed their buildings reinforces their want for sunlight.
