of
Education.
It
was
administered
by
the
researcher to both the experimental and the control groups at the beginning and at the end of the experiment. Powerpoint
presentations
were
devised
by
the
researcher and edited by the committee composed of experts on instructional materials. This study employed the matched group sampling of Gaudencio V. Aquino. The finding of the study showed that the pretest of the control group was found to be low. It showed that those students
taught
using
the
traditional
method
lacked
scientific abilities in the subject. The
mean
score
of
the
pretest
of
the
experimental
group was also low indicating that students taught using computer-aided instruction lacked scientific abilities in the subject.
v Comparing
the
pretest
results
of
both
control
and
experimental groups, it was found out that the mean scores of pretest of the control and experimental groups did not have significant difference. This means that the two groups had similar mental abilities and that they are equivalent groups. The
posttest
was
given
to
the
control
group.
Its
result yielded an average academic performance. But there was an improvement in the control group, compared to its pretest result. The
experimental
group
was
given
posttest
and
the
result was found to be average. It means that there was an improvement
after
the
students
