SET-UP: Setting Time: This is a modern story Place: Las Vegas, there are many drunks in Las Vegas with all of the casinos so Protagonist: Trevor Goal: Change our world Inner Conflict: Trevor thinks that he is powerless and can’t change anything Antagonist: The bullies who snuck the knife into the school INCITING INCIDENT: When Trevor decides to bring the homeless Jerry home from a meal and a shower. This is the inciting incident because it’s the decision that gets the whole story started. RISING ACTION

Obstacle & Why: Finds Jerry drugged out at his house. This is an obstacle because it makes Trevor think that his idea won’t work Obstacle & Why: His dad comes home because he says that he has changed and wants another chance but he knows that he hasn’t Decision & Why: Helps the homeless man Jerry. This is a decision that he made to change the world Decision & Why: He decided to help Adam when he was being bullied

CRISIS (& WHY?) The crisis was when Trevor had to make the decision to help Adam or not. He had the choice before but he has too scared of getting hurt to stand up to them. This time he chose different

CLIMAX (& WHY?) The climax would be when Trevor stands up to the bullies and ends up getting stabbed. This is the climax because he was able to overcome fear and prove that he could change the world. He didn’t defeat the antagonist but he was defeated by the antagonist. He overcame the inner conflict when he showed that he wasn’t too scared to stand up for Adam.

FALLING ACTION The falling action is shown when everyone came with all of the candles and flowers because this tied up loose ends. This showed that Trevor really did change the world with his idea of pay it forward....
