Brief description of your products or services

The company was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario by Tim Horton’s and co-founder Ron Joyce. Tim Horton was basically a hockey player and decided to switch over from hockey career to franchise. AT the initial stage the franchise started selling goods, coffee, and donuts. In 1967, he opened three restaurants. Tim Hortons is loved by almost everyone in Canada. The reason for the success and love towards Tim Hortons is that it has created such a strong brand image of itself by offering the best coffee and donuts at really affordable prices. Tim Hortons has never been scared to open their restaurants in any remote places in Canada, which has helped it in creating a brand presence image all over the Canada. And also the brand has never failed to express its emotional connect of being Canadian, the hockey team supporter, helping to raise funds for its Children Foundation. Trying to bring and inculcate its menu with the Canadian style of food. The company has taken all the required social responsibilities towards the society and has always come up as Social Responsive brand. These all factors have contributed to towards the success of the brand. The company is also expanding their market to the world including the Unit State market..Currently, TH uses five distributions channels: two in Ontario, and one in British Columbia, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. Tim Hortons is currently the largest fast food restaurant chain in Canada that provides a variety of products to appeal a broad range of consumer preferences at relatively attractive prices. The company’s product line consists of premium coffee, espresso-based hot and cold specialty drinks (including lattes, 3 cappuccinos and espresso shots, specialty teas, fruit smoothies), home-style soups, fresh sandwiches, wraps, hot breakfast sandwiches and fresh baked goods. Company’s competitive advantage A. Brand Awareness

In Canada Tim Hortons is an iconic brand in Canada and is part of the Canadianculture. Even when I was in india I use to see my friends use to post photos of them drinking tims coffee probably every day. This is a long-term competitive advantage for Tim Hortons because itis valuable and rare when compared to their competitors because it is notpossessed by many and it helps neutralize threats in Canada. B. Less Expensive Tim Hortons strives to be the leader of product quality in everything theydo. Even with the great standards, Tim Hortons keeps their prices low. Thisis a short-term competitive advantage for Tim Hortons because othercompetitors will eventually try to copy this advantage. This advantage israre because competitors have to be well established to offer quality productsat low prices. C. Easy Access I Live in lasalle which is situated in montreal, quebec. In my neighbourhood there are more than 3 Tim hortons which more than any other coffee or breafast place we do have 2 Mcdonals and 1

Starbucks.Sometimes in the moring other places are busy and crowded but having Three timhortons really makes it a go to place for coffee. Most of the tim hortons have drive thru which makes it even easier to purchase the product. D. Promotion Promotion is also another important strategy that has been employed in marketing in the company. Promotion strategy is of great importance in creating customer awareness especially in the initial stages of organization’s development. This method has helped the company reach a large number of its customers. 

Problem statement I. Im a vegan and when I go to Tim Hortons, I nearly see any Vegan and Vegetarian options on the menu. Some of the new generation like me now is not consuming any Meat and dairy product. So, when I go to Tim Hortons I have only one vegetarian sandwich which is more expensive than any meat products. All of the muffins and donuts serve there contains egg and lot of people dont consume egg or any other animal related Product. We need some Vegan-Cruelty free options. Compassionate people for the Welfare of Animals and the Environment need Food and Treat options Please. This land contributes to developing world malnutrition by driving impoverished populations to grow cash crops for animal feed, rather than food for themselves II. I am from india and there is no Tim hortons in india. Franchises like Mcdonalds and Starbucks growing in india like a wild fire mcdonalds making up to 11 billion US Dollars and starbucks which has only few franchise in india is still bringing up to 362 million US Dollars. This proves that in india Tim Hortons can bring more money they have dreamed of just by franchising Tims to India

1.6. Objectives and strategies to solve the problem We need some Vegan-Cruelty free options, Aoiding animal products is one of the most obvious ways you can take a stand against animal cruelty and animal exploitation everywhere. More and more people are turning to a vegan diet for the health benefits: there are certainly many scientifically proven benefits to vegan living when compared to the average western diet. Well-planned plant-based diets are rich in protein, iron, calcium and other essential vitamins and minerals. The plant-based sources of these nutrients tend to be low in saturated fat, high in fibre and packed with antioxidants, helping mitigate some of the modern world's biggest health issues like obesity, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. From recycling our household rubbish to cycling to work, we're all aware of ways to live a greener life. One of the most effective things an individual can do to lower their carbon footprint is to avoid all animal products. The production of meat and other animal products places a heavy burden on the environment - from crops and water required to feed the animals, to the transport and other processes involved from farm to fork. On the other hand, considerably lower quantities of crops and water are required to sustain a vegan diet, making the switch to veganism one of the easiest, most effective ways to reduce our impact on the environment.

Since the Indian cafe market is slowly becoming bigger, more players have been evaluating an India entry. The organised (or upmarket) Indian cafe market is estimated to have notched up sales of Rs1,246 crore in 2012 and the the figure is expected to bubble up to Rs2,222 crore by 2017, as per Technopak estimates. They need to find people or companies to help them franchise Tim Hortons in india . Right now cause of covid the economy is very bad in india so this is probably a good time to find new people and companies who would like to invest cause when economy dip next to dip is arise so if the economy arises there is a great chance for tim to get success in India.

Mission and Vision Statement Tim Hortons has established its Brand As a Leader in the industry. The persistence of the company to set high standards has prompted other related establishments to follow suit. As represented by the second part in its vision statement, Tim Hortons involves itself in other change-minded activities other than treating customers to great coffee. The company is actively involved in the conservation of the environment, capacity building of communities and empowerment of individuals. This is proof that Tim Hortons is a true leader as it exemplifies how firms should be part of the greater agenda of making a true difference. Tim Horton’s Core Values include “make a difference, customer first, personal excellence, cooperation, and stewardship.” Since the first store opened in Hamilton, this company has shown that it values the spirit of ‘winning together.’ To ensure this is part of the foundation, it has since continued to implement these values to influence the stability of the company as well as create a supportive culture. Tim Hortons deserves to be considered as an Ethical organisation because they posses the code of ethics that much emphasizes each member to discole any Waivers and also provide them with the knowledge of commutting to th designed rules. There are some crucial areas in the company’s code of ethics such as the conflict of Interest. In case an individual shows interests that can harm the whole organisation the regulations have a designed measure to address such a problem. The other issue that makes Tim Hortons an ethical organization comes from their corporate opportunities. This discusses the dos and don’t of the organisation, Such as Competition, taking things for themselves as a company, as well as operating with their business property for personal gain. The third aspect is confidentiality and this emphasizes maiimtenances of information or data whether for the company or customers private, which has been sustained at Tim Hortons. Tim Hortons Was a Sole Proprietorship at first and remained so until 1967, then they formed a parternship with RON JOYCE. After Tim hortons Death in 1974, RON JOYCE became the sole owner of Tim Hortons and now itS been sold to Burger king and is a FRANCHISE. Tim Horton chosen competitive strategy is niche penetration due to the company unique products have not been applied by the competitors. The quality of its products has also not been met by any of the competitors
