2) Identify key turning points in the movie that influenced or moved jurors toward the decision. What triggered the change in mindset? Key turning points were made that influenced decision makers to reevaluate themselves such as the switch blade being a common knife, the use of the knife for “stabbing” in a downward motion, the prejudicial bigotry revealed by all when juror 10 was shunned. Also, the woman’s need for glasses moved juror #4 from being overconfident and “blind”. The age bias revealed the men’s bias toward the juror, but also revealed that the testimony of the neighbor was in doubt for his physical ability to move across the apartment and witness the murder. The bigotry and socioeconomic bias by juror 10 revealed his prejudice. The most moving part was the father son relationship finally closed the case when his emotional bias was fully realized by himself and his peers. The movie exposed how the jury actually put themselves on trial and reached a close objective view of themselves.

3) How did juror number 8 act to add objectivity into the process? He added an objective view because he met people where they were in the decision making process, found common ground with respect to reason, and most importantly maintained his doubt despite constant ridicule from his peers. He maintained the high ground and did not engage in distractions.
