I. 1.

What was the cause of death? (one sentence) A single gunshot to the head

2.

What was the manner of death? (one sentence) The manner of death was homicide

3.

The body was found at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday. Estimate the possible time of death. Provide a range and explain your answer. (one to three sentences) An estimation for his time of death would be 2:00pm. It was revealed that his body was stiff which means that it only takes the body one hour to become stiff after death. It also shared that his body was purpulish blue which indicates that it only takes 15-25 minutes after death to start changing colors. Also, his body was at room temperature which indicates that he was not dead for a long time because his body is not cold.

4.

Dr. Fisher was found lying on his back. Is it likely that his body was moved after death? Why or why not? (one to two sentences). No, because there would be possible blood staining around his body or the floor if he was moved.

5.

The white powder on the table was also tested. It turned out to be an unusually high-quality blend of an illegal drug. Was Dr. Fisher under its influence at the time of death? How can you tell? Speculate on what this evidence could mean for the case. (three to five sentences) No, Dr. fisher was not under the influence before his death. His labs showed no signs of drugs in the body. I think that it was put there to frame him for killing himself.

II.

How is a virtual autopsy different from a regular autopsy? How are they similar? (two to three sentences) A regular autopsy takes place in person, and you are physically touching the body. While a virtual autopsy is all done through technology.

What are some possible advantages and disadvantages of virtual autopsies? (two to three sentences) The main advatage of virtual autopsies is being able to replay the autopsy and no exposure to pathogens. While the disadvantages are lack of being hands on and smelling or feeling.

IV.

Do you think virtual autopsies will ever replace regular autopsies? Why or why not? (two to three sentences) I do not think that virtual autopsies wll replace regualr

ones in the near future. Death appears in many many different ways, a computer cannot take on this duty alone. V.

Which type of autopsy would you rather do and why? (two to three sentences) I would personally rather do a virtual autopsy, this is only because I would not be able to touch a dead body. I could never knowingly be in the same room as someone dead without feeling sick....
