Why could this development be important? It is a tool that forensic scientist use to help them find bodies that have already decayed. Yes, insects are a huge factor in determing the time of death. After 3 weeks of death, the body will still be intact. The body will slowly start to decay untill week 8 which is where the is no longer together. 5.
