Purpose of Assignment
This assignment aims to give learners an understanding of the creative media sector. Learners will also develop an understanding of employment opportunities, working conditions and how to apply for work in the media sector. Scenario
You have been commissioned by a publishing company to produce a careers guide to the British Interactive Media sector. The guide will have 5 sections:
Structure and ownership of the media sector
Ethical and legal constraints within the media sector
Regulation of the media sector
Employment opportunities and job roles in the media sector
How to apply for a job
The company wish to appeal to the teenage market, particularly students who wish to find future employment within the Interactive Media Industry. The language, tone and look of the publication need to specifically target a student/teenage audience. You may choose the format of your guide. It could be:
a webpage/blog-page
a textbook/leaflet
a short documentary

Learners take two industries each and research their structure and ownership
Groups meet, present and compare research of each member
