2. Explain the steps to find your grades and instructor feedback in the digital classroom. You must click in the top left corner of Halo then a menu pops up and you click on grade book to find your grades. After finding your grades under each assignment there is a view feedback button and you click that to find the feedback 3. In the digital classroom, click on the STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER. Click on the dropdown next to the RESOURCES menu (top right). Under TOOLS, choose WRITING CENTER. From there click on STYLE GUIDES AND TEMPLATES and review the APA 7th Edition Style Guide and Template. (You may want to right click and save the guide and template to your computer for future reference). After reading the Style Guide, why do you think academic writing requires such strict formatting? When you enter into the workforce, there are many jobs that require professional writing and templates. These guides prepare us students for the workforce and show that the school puts stock in their students. 4. In the Digital Classroom click on, DISCUSSION FORUMS and CLASS QUESTIONS and explain the purpose of the two areas. Discussion questions are there to show that the student is engaged in the class and understanding the material. Class questions are public questions where anyone may ask a question seeking an answer from another student or teacher. 5.

In the Digital Classroom, click the Inbox icon (square to the left of the question mark icon at the top right corner). What is the purpose of the Inbox?

6. Click on the SYLLABUS tab in the digital classroom and select TOPIC 1. What are the two main headings found under the objectives? The two main headings are Assessments and Resources 7. Go to the LIBRARY tab and locate About Us. Click on the Contact Us link in the drop down. Describe two ways to get help using the Library’s resources.

3 Two ways to get help using the library resources is an email route called Ask-A-Librarian. Also, at the bottom of the page they have a phone number you may call to receive librarian help. 8. Click the ANNOUNCEMENTS tab. Why is it important to read the announcements at the beginning of each week? What is something important you see in the announcements? Well if I would’ve read all the announcements before today I would have been in a much better position with my homework and quiz. 9.

In the digital classroom click the question mark icon in the top right corner, then click the Contact Technical Support at the bottom left. List three ways in which you can contact Technical Support and provide their email address and phone number.

One way you may receive technical help is emailing the tech’s at [email protected].. A second way to receive technical help is calling them at 602-639-7200. Finally you may live chat with the techs but you must request a live chat to revive that help.

On the Home page, click on Degree Programs, locate and click your area of interest, choose your Bachelor Program. Locate your Program Core Courses and list one course that looks most interesting to you. Why did you choose this course? Include the course name, course number and course description along with your explanation. The most interesting course to me is strategic management which is BUS-485. I chose this because I think strategy in certain fields of jobs are simply lacking, the description of the course is the gradual development of a comprehensive and integrative business plan. Describe which sections of this page interest you. Why?

4 To me the section that interests me the most is the GCU Hope section, GCU provides mini video messages for encouragement and hope. In this day and age we can appreciate both of these things

Review the resources and services in the section Research & Writing Help. What resource do you think will be the most helpful for you in the research and writing process? I think it will definitely be the style guides, I am going to forget APA format sometimes and I will use that resource to refresh my memory

12. On the Student Success Center home page, type “New Student Success” in the search bar and visit the page to explore the resources. List three tutorials or webinars that will help you most as you begin this course. For each, explain how you feel they will help. The first tutorial that will help me is downloading my ebooks, I want an easier way to access my online books so downloading them is perfect. The second is the Mac Microsoft office installation, I do not have any Microsoft office applications on my Mac so it will be very helpful. Finally, the adobe reader, I have already had an issue with that so now I get to clear it up thanks to the success center
