Description

URBAN GAME REFLECTION It should be kept in mind that people use gambling as a strategy to escape their problems in their daily life, as a way to spend a playful time so to speak; But most of the people we spoke to told us that when they lost money the first day, they tried to return the next day to try to recover what was previously lost, and so they went day after day, many times being aware that they were losing part of their lives stuck in a place that ultimately takes away every penny of their money. They told us that it is good to go once in a while to clear your mind but at the moment when you are not able to say enough, that's where help is really needed to leave that world of gambling. PLAYGROUND OR GAME: “The playful emotion existing in the uncertainty and chance of the bingo game cannot be ignored, whether it is practiced at the annual school party or in the daily routine of the casino. So where is the difference between one and the other experiences? They are equal? Both are playful, but of course they are not the same; if they are analyzed from the perspective of human and social development, and within the framework of education as training ”. “The difference is not in the playful emotionality that one and the other practices report to those who carry them out; all, it has already been said, promote similar sensations of a playful nature. The substantial difference lies in the effect and the consequences that they imply for people's lives ”. In these places you can find these two terms (playful and gambling), there we found people who frequented the place just to spend time, but there were others who made it a necessity of daily living. Gambling is a great attraction for the general public, there is nothing like a round to get money effortlessly, getting a little fun, but sometimes that fun can become something more, a vice that little by little it consumes the people who practice it, making us lose track of time and the company of people who have accompanied us in our lives, pathological gambling is a great mental illness that can affect anyone, the reflection that this academic activity leaves

us is that of observing firsthand the evils of this vice and how people who cannot escape it try to prevent more people from falling into it, being an activity of great personal and group learning, leaving us a great experience, appreciating what you have before you lose it. People who enter this world of gambling just for the simple fact of releasing tensions or freeing their minds, end up lost in this vice, since day after day it begins to return to something everyday for them, something that if they get missing, or they don't go for some reason, they begin to feel that something is missing; They begin to depend on it and put aside more important things like their family, friends, material goods that only realize that they were important things until they already have lost them. I remember a lady in the first casino we entered, who asked her how it was played on a machine and she answered that for our sake it was better that we not learn; It shows how these people, having already gone through this and seeing us with that inexperience in those machines, tried to give us advice so that we did not continue in these games, so that we did not go through the same thing that they have already experienced, knowing which is a bad thing but in the same way they are no longer able to get out of that world....
