Vanessas mother was a smart teenager from a small town in Arkansas excelling in high school, until she got pregnant by her high school boyfriend and had vanessa. Vanessa had the constant pressure of her parents and grandparents to graduate from a four-year college and obtain a degree, several people told her that University was hard but since she was smart and hardly did any studying and still never failed in school, she figured the university would be just as easy. It was all put to the test when Vanessa failed her first exam and was not able to handle it, causing her to call her mother and ended up questioning herself if she is even good enough to be there....
