Office Hours 08:00- 17:00 Monday to Friday Video Submissions Overview Submitting videos for assessment is a two-step process that begins by uploading your videos into the Curtin ECHO 360 system. This process can take a long time (up to 48 hours) for a final URL link to be

If using one of these devices it is required that you download a free application called mRecorder. This allows you to alter the resolution of your files from the standard 1080p setting in the Apple camera app to a more manageable 480x320 resolution. This will make the file size of your 3-5 min video significantly smaller from around 300MB to 30MB. This will enable faster uploading and processing. The files can be submitted in the Apple default file format .mov. Option 2: Android Devices The camera application in most Android devices allows you to set the resolution. We would recommend a setting of either 480x320 or 320x240. This shrinks the file to a much more manageable size for easy processing and uploading to the ECHO system. The files can be submitted using the Android default file type .mp4. Option 3: Other recording devices If you use a webcam or video recorder you will need to convert these to either a .mov or .mp4 file and scale the recording down to a 480x320 resolution for uploading. Naming files We require that you use the following naming convention when naming the file you are submitting. Surname_Firstname_IDnumber_unitc ode_studyperiod_year.mov An example: Bloggs_ Joe_12345678_EDP263_SP4_2015.mov

Video Slate The final requirement is a slate that should be part of your video. This can take the form of yourself holding a printed sheet, or you can add in a picture using most video editing software. This slate should contain the following information: o
