OUR OD PROGRAM This degree prepares you to become a

registered optometrist. A specific set of university courses must be completed to qualify for admission into the program, which requires enrolment in a university Bachelor of Science (BSc) program of your choice with a full course load (five courses per term).

NON-ACADEMIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS › Complete the Optometry Admissions Test (OAT) with a minimum score of 300 for all sections › Complete the Computer-Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics (CASPer) test online

› Demonstrate direct work or volunteer experience and job shadowing in an optometry setting

› Apply to a university science program other than Waterloo**

› Obtain a letter of reference from an optometrist as well as a character reference
