Web Quest: Globalization on the Web Instructions: For this Web Quest assignment, you will research and analyze information on the web. Follow each step of the Web Quest and answer the questions below.     

Paraphrase your answers. Do not cut and paste from the websites. Answer each question in complete sentences. Pay attention to spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Double- space your work. Aim for a total of 500 words (2 pages).

Submission: Type your answers into a Word document file and upload your assignment to Blackboard no later than Sunday, March 28, 11:59 pm.    

Save your work as a Microsoft Word Document or PDF. Include your name (first, last and preferred) and student number on your assignment. All papers will be checked for plagiarism using Safe Assign (text-matching detection software). Any plagiarized work will be given a '0' and you may be cited for academic misconduct.

From the top menu, click on World and then look at the world news stories that are making headlines.  Find an article that relates to globalization. Write the name of the article below and explain how it relates to globalization. 2. Go to the United Nations website- https://www.un.org/en/ a. Look around this website. Click on different items from the top and side menus. b. Notice the many photographs on this website. Choose one photograph that draws your attention.  Describe the photograph and explain why you are drawn to it.

Check out the interactive map of the world and its endangered languages. b. Scroll down and watch the video, Introducing the Endangered Languages Project. Listen carefully and answer the following questions:  Of the seven thousand languages currently spoken, how many are expected to disappear within the next century?  Do you think endangered languages should be saved? Why or why not?
