Pros: - Nike always chooses athletes, especially those who have won, to introduce, as spokespersons such as Runner Steve Prefontaine, Michael Jordan, LeBorn James. It creates attention, trust, trend for target customers, brings profits to the company. - Not limited to just making sportswear for one field, running, but expanding to many fields such as football, golf, tennis,.. - Atively react to market trends changing according to consumer preferences by adapting marketing strategies accordingly, incorporating existing products, developing new products, styles, categories , and influence sports interests through various marketing strategies. - An effective product distribution strategy knows to deliver the right thing at the right time to the customer. Nike distributes products on different tier bases with premium products given to certain distributors while low-priced products are sold at highly discounted prices at retail stores such as Wal-Mart - Their aggressive advertising campaigns, celebrity endorsements and quality products all enhance their brand and image. Nike targets on the consumers who care more about the utility and quality of the products rather than the price. That is why Nike sets higher price of its shoes than its competitor like Adidas. Cons: - Choosing a celebrity spokesperson also has some negatives if an athlete is involved in a scandal, it will also affect a customer's decision not to buy a product, causing a loss of sales for Nike. - The price of the product is quite expensive compared to other products worldwide Risks: competitors are increasing, spokesman. 2. If you were Adidas, how would you compete with Nike ? - Exploiting customer files are those of Generation Z. Because they may become future customers of the brand.
