Growth mindsets believe that effort makes them look smarter. Whereas fixed mindsets believe that effort is for the incapable. Growth mindsets understand that setbacks are a part of growth. Whereas fixed mindsets believe setbacks make them incapable. Growth mindsets want to learn. Whereas fixed mindsets care more about how they will be judged. This information is important because it persuades the audience to change to a "growth mindset" and focusing on the process. This information is very good to know. With this information, for now, I'm going to work on praising people based on their process. I will definitely want to praise my kids for their process.
