Description

“Lady Bird”, directed by Greta Gerwig, is a comedy-drama movie released in 2017. It’s almost so hard to write something precisely about this movie because it’s so terrific that no words could really represent what it conveys to its viewers. Despite the plot is simple, the way in which the actors evoke emotions make this film outstanding and, due to this, it won lots of special awards in the last few months. The main character, Christine (interpreted by Saoirse Ronan), is at the end of her childhood, and she really wants to escape her home town of Sacramento, described as the Midwest of California. She’s a student of a private school, and she has aspirations for the college on the East coast, despite the fact that her mother insists that her family can’t afford it and this results in many arguments between them. She tries to be admitted at the college and to join the group of the richer people and, for this reason, there are lots of special adventures she goes through. As far as I’m concerned, the plot is gripping from the beginning to the end and I really would recommend this unpredictable masterpiece. The only criticism that I should make is that the ending is too instant and there should be soon a sequel. Nevertheless, you would regret missing it!...
