My life has intertwined with plenty of complex and simple systems. For my personal and social lives to my professional lives, without systems in my days my life would not run as smooth as it does. One of my most beloved systems, however, would be my coffee maker. This is one of the first systems I utilized everyday to start my day whether if I am going to work or enjoying time with my friends. The purpose of a coffee maker is to turn a dry product (coffee grounds) into a liquid product (coffee). Simple enough for me. To start, I need to utilize my coffee grinder because I use the whole beans. When I have grinded the beans to where I like them, I measure out coffee for two cups I place them in the internal basket of the coffee maker. I then pour water in the coffee maker to make the final product. Once complete I close the lid and turn the coffee maker on. Internally, there is a heating element that turned on heats the water that passes through small tubing to drip over the coffee grounds into the pot. By taking care of each step that is important to complete the task, if one step is left out it would result into a faulty system and the final product would not taste good.
