The statement of: “Those who don't know history won't be able to improve the present" could be applied to any event in the present or the future. In my current career, I have monthly financial documents and statements to report back to the school district I work for. The previous financial secretary left the books in a bit of disarray and the district with be auditing my school site this year to ensure the previous errors are not continuing to be an issue. While the errors that were made were not my own, I did have to look at those errors and take note, so as not to repeat them myself. If I did not know what these errors were, I would not be able to work to prevent them. The strategy I will be using is frequent comparison checks of previous reports, the standards required by the district, and my own reports while making detailed notes of any inaccuracies and how to remedy the situation if there are any....
