2-2 Journal: Workplace Behaviors May 2021 Victoria Anderson

Workplace behaviors that I tend to showcase at work were maintaining supportive relationships with everyone, including my employees and other managerial staff, organized, and timeliness, I was making it right or time, or just a little late. Behavior One: Maintaining Supportive Relationships I always had an issue with being the boss versus being on the more friendly side of things. I am strict but I was always very understanding and flexible. I never asked any of my staff do things that I would not do themselves, even with family emergencies, I would step in if need be. I believe a good manager can do everything within the company if need be because work never stops. I would get comments that I was too nice to the staff or too lenient with certain people, but I felt it was important to make them feel needed and wanted because without them, we need them to be happy and willing to work. Behavior Two: Organized Another behavior that I showed at the workplace was organization, from each individual staff member to the way the entire office was ran. I believe with a clear organizational plan; things can be put in place and will always be found. I have helped a lot of people become better employees with an organizational skill because they did not have to worry about the details or little bits of dismay, they were able to focus on the tasks at hand. Not only does it help with their day-to-day tasks, but it was also something that can spill into their personal life. Behavior Three: Timeliness I have always had an issue with timeliness, even with being well prepared, I am always late. This effected my workplace behavior as a manger because of teaching, training, and coaching my staff. I received a lot of backlash because of tardiness. I am constantly working on this behavior....
