A new small plant was able to colonize in the scorched land. Also, many small species that need a space could grow in a new vegetation. The reading passage refers to the damage for animals. Large animal like deer or elk and small animals were suffered from forest fire. The forest fire destroyed the habitation and the food chains in Yellow land. However, that is not the case, according to the lecturer, who introduces an opportunity for small animals to live in the land. In 1988 forest fire, for rabbits and hair, the scorched land was ideal habitat to live in. Also, their predators started to live in the area. They could make a new stronger food chain. The reading passage focuses on the negative effect on a tourist attraction. Because of the Yellowstone forest fire, tourist season became shorter, and visitors began to stay away. The forest fire damage on the local economy. However, the lecturer points out the frequency of a large forest fire. A large forest fires could be caused by some factors like strong winds.
