The CPD Rationale The Mandate of ICPAU like all professional Accountancy Organizations (PAOs) is to regulate and maintain the Standard of Accountancy in Uganda. The importance of CPD programs therefore, as prescribed by the International Accounting Education Standards Board, is maintenance and further development of professional competence. CPDs form the basis through which ICPAU updates its members on the new developments in the accountancy profession as well as remind them on the existing ones.
