Important information on how to use Capital Budgeting Exam Answer.xlsx after downloading it from the Capital Budgeting question in the eExam. The Capital Budgeting Exam Answer is template consisting of one worksheet, with empty timelines and clearly labeled structure to place your capital budgeting answer. It is used in the same as your within-semester test. • Capital Budgeting Worksheet Instructions: o Enter the complete Question number in Cell C2 of the Capital Budgeting worksheet to allow markers to identify the question you are answering. Not doing so will make marking significantly more difficult and will be penalised -2 marks out of 100. o Students are to place their answer within the confines of the worksheet structure provided; which ends in cell P84. Any answers placed in rows or columns after this cell WILL BE IGNORED AND NOT MARKED. o WARNING: DO NOT DOWNLOAD MORE THAN ONE EXCEL ANSWER TEMPLATE! If you have multiple copies, you may forget which version you have put your answers in and make the mistake of uploading an EMPTY version. You will be marked on what you have submitted only, if you submit an empty file, you will receive 0 marks for the question. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE! o Submission of the Excel Capital Budgeting answer can only be done in the eExam submission box, not by any other means. Any attempt to submit Excel from any email to any email will not be accepted. •

Beyond this worksheet, students are not allowed to modify the structure of this template such as adding new worksheets, renaming worksheets or adding VBA code. Any modification of the structure will be ignored and any answers placed in modified structure will be ignored. If modifications result in corruption of the submission file or markers not being able to open the file, the answers will not be marked. A sample of this template is provided in the SAMPLE ONLY Capital Budgeting Exam Answer DO NOT USE IN THE EXAM link in Moodle. Important: It is recommended that you upload your file before you move on to the next question. All uploads need to be completed within the 2 hours and 10 minutes exam duration - you will not be given extra time after the end of the exam to upload your Word or Excel files. Thus, it is recommended that all uploads are complete 5 minutes before the end of the exam time to ensure that there are no system issues. Please see the instructions below for download/upload questions.

recommend you try to finish your exam if you are able to because in most circumstances if you have seen and/or attempted to answer the exam questions, you will not be eligible for a deferred assessment. Students enrolled at an Australian campus (including those who will be sitting the exam from an overseas location) must use the online system to apply for special consideration (refer to the following link for details of how to apply). Applications require supporting evidence. Please note that special consideration may be granted but is not guaranteed. Take careful note of the specific grounds upon which special consideration may be granted. Monash University policy and procedures under Section B of Assessment in Coursework Units: Adjustments to Assessment Procedures state the following: https://www.monash.edu/__data/assets/pdf_file/0004/801616/Assessment-in-CourseworkUnits-Adjustments-to-Assessment-Procedures.pdf There are many different circumstances, which may give rise to a special consideration application. Such as: ● short-term serious medical condition. This includes hospital admission, serious injury, severe asthma, and severe anxiety or depression. ● loss or bereavement (for example, death of a close family member). ● family relationship breakdown. ● hardship or trauma. This may include: victims of crime, sudden loss of income or employment, or severe disruption to domestic arrangements. ● obligations to military, jury or emergency services (such as the Country Fire Authority). ● for students registered with the Elite Student Performer Scheme for student-athletes, artists, performers participating in a key event and for students competing in key academic events and programs representing the University. ● for student carers, where acute illness or other exceptional cause affects the person for whom they care and impacts the student’s ability to prepare for or perform the assessment. I bring to your attention that special consideration will not be granted for: ● Managing workload from other units of study; ● Managing work commitments; ● Managing activities arising from voluntary representation as a member of a club, society or any other organisation; ● Misreading the exam timetable; or ● Information and communications technology-related problems, except where they could not have been prevented, avoided or the effects minimised by reasonable diligence by students. Can I talk to other students or persons while undertaking my eExam? No, see https://www.monash.edu/exams/electronic-exams/rules Good luck with your exams! Page 6 of 6...
