Retrieved from https://ebookcentral-proquestcom.ezproxy.snhu.edu Michael Meyerson is a professor of law, specializing in constitutional law and American legal history at the University of Baltimore. Prior to that, he served 3 years as a consumer affairs attorney for the New York State Consumer Protection Board. He has written several books and publications covering topics such as constitutional law, contracts law, the First Amendment, and legal history. Since Meyerson is simply a professor, not a professional historian, he may hold bias in his writing of “The Federalist Papers”. The purpose behind Liberty’s Blueprint as well as main argument is to use The Federalist to shed light on conflicting approaches and to demonstrate the process in which we should take to better understand the views in hopes to better interpret the Constitution. Meyerson provides over 30 pages of sources compiled of a combination of articles, bibliographies, documentary history, letters, and journals. The sources are reliable as there are numerous used to gather his information and is unbiased. Between his list of sources and his professional history, he is clearly a well informed and knowledgeable individual. This source directly relates to my topic because it discusses the writing of the US Constitution. There is extensive detail provided in Meyerson’s work that goes over topics such as medical marijuana and gay marriage that don’t even relate to my topic and the relationship between Hamilton and Madison, which was very eye opening....
