QUESTION = Roe v. Wade established a constitutional right to abortion. Do you believe this decision was rightly decided? Why or why not? In other words, do you think Roe should be overturned and the issue returned to the states? Or do you think abortion should be outlawed completely, or in certain circumstances? Explain your answer. Intro Paragraph  Thesis The case of Roe v. Wade, which established a constitutional right to abortion, was monumental for the women’s rights movement. The outcomes from this case are necessary in ensuring women’s right to privacy and right to control over their own physical autonomy. Abortion should remain to be the right of the mother, and the point of viability needs ot be clearly and strictly defined by the court. After the point of viability has passed, it should be left up to the states as to how they chose to handle abortion thereafter. However, there must be exceptions to this, for there may be extinuating circumstances, such as risk of the mother’s life and rape or incest, that will call for an abortion to be performed no matter the state’s regulatory laws.
