LEARNING TASK II. MOTIVATION •

(SHOW PICTURE OF THE EARTH)

Class, what is picture on the screen?

When you look at the earth from the outer space, what does it looks like?

What do you think is the bluish color surface of the earth?

Very good!

Now class, how many percent of the earth’s surface is covered by water?

Color Green

• •

Very good! As you look closer, what is the other color that you see?

How many percent of earth’s surface covered with land? Yes, correct!

Is earth also covered with air?

What colors represent in the picture of the earth?

Correct, very good! B. Lesson proper: Learning Task 3 : Activity

Now class let us have picture puzzle. I will show you ramble form picture which you are going to identify what is in the picture. I will group you into 2 groups. Each group have two picture that you will going to identify. It that clear?

For Group 1.

In the environment.

Environment is everything that makes up surroundings and affect the activities of living thing. It consist of living and non-living things on earth.

Human, Plants and Animals.

A natural resources

For Group 2

Learning task 4: Analysis •

Where do we fine the animals?

Correct! And what is environment?

All things that we see in our

. A natural resources is anything that people can use which came from nature like land, water and air.

surrounding are all part of environments, including us. •

Can you give example of living things?

What do we call the things in the environment?

What are natural resources?

Correct, now class lets go back to these two groups.

There are two groups of natural resources.

Can you identify the first picture in the first group?

Does sunlight give us unlimited light in a day?

Very good!

What about the other picture?

Can animals be replaced? How?

Correct! This group of natural resources was considered as Renewable resources.

What are Renewable resources?

It’s a sunlight.

Yes, it does.

It’s an Animals.

Yes, it can replaced through reproduction.

Renewable resources are natural resources that can be replaced or renewed within a short period of time.

Petroleum/fuel and Coal

Nonrenewable Resources

Because it takes time to be replaced.

Nonrenewable Resources are natural resources that cannot be easily replaced within a short period of time. They can take hundred or even millions of years to form.

No because it can cause pollution that is very harmful in our environment.

Those are use for running electricity and energy.

We need to use them wisely.

Can you identify the picture of the second group?

If the first group called renewable resources, how about the second

group? Why do think petroleum and coal is under Nonrenewable resources?

Now class what are Nonrenewable Resources?

We can prevent pollution by proper disposal for these nonrenewable resources.

Yes, because we need it to survive

We need the earth’s natural resources.

do you think the improper use of this Nonrenewable resources good in our environment? Why?

Do you have any idea what are the uses of these nonrenewable resources?

Recycling

So, what do we need to do to those nonrenewable resources.

Bottle, newspaper, magazine, boxes.etc.

 

Very good!

How do we prevent pollution?

Very good!

Is it important to conserve and protect our environment? why?

what do we need in order to survive?

Correct!

What is the effective way in order to conserve our natural resources?

Natural resources are naturally occurring materials that uses by living things.

Renewable and Nonrenewable

what are the thing that can be recycling?

very good!

Renewable resources are the natural resources that can be replenish in a short period of time.

Sunlight, water, air, plants, and animals.

Learning task 5 Abstraction Again, class what are natural resources?

Nonrenewable resources are the natural resources that cannot be easily to replaced within a short period of time.

We need to used it wisely. Correct. What are two group of natural resources? Correct. What are renewable resources? Very good! Give me example of renewable resources. 1. Moon – Renewable. Correct. What are nonrenewable resources? Correct. What do we need to do to those nonrenewable resources? Learning task 6 – Application Now I have here some picture on the screen I want you to identify what is in the picture then identify what natural group of resources is that. 1. 2. Crude oil – Nonrenewable

3. Water – Renewable

2.

4. Fuel – Nonrenewable

3.

5. Fruits – Renewable

4.

6. Nuclear – Nonrenewable

5.

__R__1. Stars __N__2. LPG __N__3. Kerosene __R__4. Vegetables __R__5. Tree

6.

III.

EVALUATION

Write R on the blank if the material is Renewable and N if it is Nonrnewable. _____1. Stars _____2. LPG _____3. Kerosene _____4. Vegetables _____5. Tree

IV.
