1. Courtship November 1977: Prince Charles meets Lady Diana for the first time at Althorp House. Prince Charles was introduced to Lady Diana Spencer via her sister Sarah. At that time, he was dating Sarah.

February 1978: Charles ended his relationship with Sarah since she wouldn’t marry Charles “if he were the dustman or the King of England.”. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Diana evidently had a different impression, telling her friends that one day she was going to marry Prince Charles and laughing that he was, “The one man on the planet who is not allowed to divorce me,” July 1980: Both Charles and Diana are invited to stay at their mutual friend in Sussex for the weekend.
