1. List several traits that all primates share. (hint: these are mentioned within the first 10 minutes of the video) All primates grasp with their fingers,, have forward facing eyes allowing for depth perception, hand-eye coordination allowing for the completion of delicate tasks, color vision, and long fingers capable of intricate movements.
2. The following four traits were once thought to be unique to humans. For each trait, give examples from the video of how non-human primates show this trait as well. - tool use: Chimps use twigs as tools in different ways to retrieve bugs from their habitat.
- culture: Tanzanian chimps custom of licking rocks to get mineral supplements that are lacking their diet is an example of a learned custom.
