BACKGROUND INFORMATION The Kingfisher Garden Centre is an organisation that sells plants and gardening products. The Kingfisher Garden Centre mission is to improve the lives of others through beautiful garden spaces. The Kingfisher Garden Centre is located in Fairfield Victoria and is set on 20 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens. The organisation also has separate businesses running: a café and convention centre. The Kingfisher Convention Centre is a centre that caters for all types of events, from weddings and birthdays to corporate conventions. It can seat up to 500 people. It is located on the same site as the Kingfisher Garden Centre.

Warblers Café opens seven days a week and is situated next to the garden centre. It caters mostly for the patrons of the garden centre and provides all day breakfast, light meals, lunch seven days per week, and light dinners on the two late trading days, Thursday and Friday.

Many of the day-to-day procedures in the convention centre and café have changed, so you have decided to establish an updated framework for the health, safety and security of all visitors and employees. You have decided to create the framework in sections, as the areas of the café and convention centre are so different and have different needs. You will create a framework for one section of the organisation and use this as a model for the remaining sections. You have decided to first focus on deliveries and stock control, as this is an area that has been flagged in the incident and accident registers. The WHS policy needs to be very specific to each department as the garden centre has very different work health and safety issues compared with the convention centre and café. You have been told by some of your staff that they were not included in the last WHS policy and their feedback was not anticipated. Premises safety procedures
