Abortion Persuasive Essay Abortion has become one of the most popular debates in the world over the last couple of decades. Child abuse has matured into over three-fourths of maltreatment cases in the United States. The topic of child abuse is also very questionable for various reasons. (Child Welfare Information Gateway. 2017). If a person is forced into parenthood, they may be entitled to harm themselves or the born or unborn child during their time of depression. "More than 70% of the children who died as a result of child abuse or neglect were two years of age or younger. More than 80% were not yet old enough for kindergarten. Around 80% of child maltreatment fatalities involve at least one parent as the perpetrator." (Child Abuse Statistics, 2021) Environmental neglect is the most commonly occurring kind of neglect. That is the withholding of food, water, house, or other physiological needs of a child. All states should legalize abortion for specific situations, such as being victims of rape, addictions, chronic health conditions, et cetera. Undesired children hold a higher risk of being victims of child endangerment. "Therefore, abortion availability may reduce the number of unwanted children being born, leading to lower rates of child abuse and neglect" (Bitler, Zavodny, 2002,p.364) When there are not adequate abortion options, women take matters into their hands and take medications like Misoprostol. These methods are dangerous and may cause mother and fetus danger. (Russo, 2014) Almost 50% of women with unplanned pregnancies use some form of birth control during the time of becoming pregnant. (Isaacs, Jennifer N., 2003) Unfortunately, not everyone is mentally stable to sustain a full pregnancy. How and where a pregnancy occurs has implications for mental health outcomes. Women who suffer from having several medical conditions should be allowed to have an abortion if they want to ( Russo, N.F, 2014). The health caretaker or local regulations can delay medical abortion if an intrauterine

pregnancy accurses or until a specific pregnancy duration is reached. During the waiting period, the mother may have increased side effects and or complications. Studies have shown that women who terminated their first pregnancy are more likely to have pre-existing mental health conditions than those who delivered during their first pregnancy. For example a study in Tamil Nadu, India, found that others compelled one out of every person who had an abortion. (Russo, N.F, 2014) Given that violence is lead to both unintended pregnancy and unsafe abortion, they both raise serious concerns. Also, women who suffer from drug addiction have a higher risk of having children born with congenital disabilities. Women who want an abortion but are denied are more likely to suffer from financial situations longer than women who have abortions. Timing, spacing, and the number of births involve common risk factors for pregnancy unwontedness and negative physical and mental health implications. A woman with a child in pampers may not be financially stable to support having a second child in diapers and feed them adequately. (Russo, N.F, 2014) Low income and women of color have a higher chance of initiate late prenatal care and experiencing higher rates of unintended pregnancy, abortion, and preterm birth. (Chor,et al., 2018) In 2014 study has shown that 40% of women presenting for induced abortion lacked health insurance. By waiting until you have graduated and are financially stable, you can have more chances in life and possibly make more money. Although there are many opinions on abortion, there is also a good and bad time to have a child. Being overpowered into parenthood can generate child endangerment, economic circumstances, including even medical obstacles in some circumstances. Neglect outlines that being overpowered into parenthood can generate child endangerment and economic circumstances, including even medical obstacles in some circumstances. Neglect outlines the

most typical variety of reported and substantiated forms of maltreatment. Abortion should be pro-choice for the safety of the mother and born/unborn children. Therefore, abortion should not be legal to women who do not want the baby but should be legal to women suffering from depression events. Unplanned pregnancies can cause child endangerment, financial situations, and even medical problems in some cases. Therefore, the option of a legal abortion with a certified practitioner needs to remain available to all.
