The new inputs are achieved by usage of existing functions, events, and button inputs. This was done so that no necessary attack data modifications are required; therefore, not causing issues with Race and Perk overhauls.

So, in the Vanilla game, only one button for attacks are available; both left and right hand gets dedicated attack keys; when only one offensive item is equipped, usually on the right hand, left hand item becomes a block key.

The new core feature that ABR has, introduces 2 attack button inputs instead of one. As explained above. 



Specialized attack key – What previously was the left hand item key, is now more versatile than before. In situations such as: o Unarmed on both hands o Dual wielding o One hand with magic and the other with the weapon. The specialized key remains the same, right hand has one button that allows holding. left hand also has one button that allows holding. In situations such as: o 2 handed build o Sword and shield o One handed build What previously was the left hand item key, becomes a heavy attack key separate from skyrim’s light attacks and the hold buttons which you can chain. The attack data are similar to power attacks including perks and stamina consumption. So in total, you now have the option to light attack, hold the light attack key AND a separate new heavy attack key.

What you can do with the new features ___________________________Attack Chain______________________________

 Regular attacks: o R1hm_atk1 – 5 (right one handed attacks) o L1hm_atk1 – 5 (left one handed attacks) o 2hm_atk1 – 5 (2 handed attacks)  Heavy attacks (HOLDing regular attack button inputs) o R1hm_atkHVY1 – 5 (right one handed heavy attacks) o L1hm_atkHVY1 – 5 (left one handed attacks) o 2hm_atkHVI1 – 5 (2 handed attacks)  Strong attacks ( Specialized attack key or the previous left hand item key for 2 handed, sword & shield, and one handed builds) o R1hm_AltCombo1 – 5 (right handed strong attacks) o 2hm_AltCombo1 – 5 (2 handed strong attacks) *These are the standard chainable attack combos which you can all transition from each other. You can chain one type of attack or mix it with other types of attack.

*These are the attack combos that you can perform when you charge your first attack by holding the regular attack button + any directional key.        

Requirements on installation *Requirements for this project remains the same as the previous versions. Refer to the Base requirements guide. The 2nd document of my 6 guides to behavior animation modding. *Remember that the input schemes are now changed. However, you can customize your controller or keyboard scheme as you wish. Just remember that the previous left hand item key OR left hand attack key is now more versatile. So, a dedicated black mod as mentioned above, is necessary.
