How will the activity will help promote learning and growth in this domain? Block play helps develop fine motor skills and strengthens hand muscles as they play. By building blocks, children form mental pictures of what they want their tower to look like. Children learn to recognize shapes, sizes, and colors while moving the blocks together and away When playing with blocks children learn to develop their language skills by using adjectives such as “huge” or “gigantic” to describe their tower During block play children practice positive social responses by teaching them to take turns with their peers Block play provides experiences that foster children’s
