Objective: Based on everything you have learned in this course, the self-assessment on topic 9, and the reflection done in this topic, elaborate at least 5 goals for each of the categories below, to improve your cultural awareness. Process: 1. Review your class notes, cultural awareness self-assessment and notes from the table on this topic. 2. Considering all this determine at least 5 clear goals to achieve or improve your cultural awareness in the four categories presented below a. What are you going to start doing? b. What are you going to do more of? c. What are you going to do less? d. What are you going to stop doing? 3. Make sure your objectives are clear and concise, and are related to specific actions, behavior or learning opportunities.

Results: To start being more cultural aware I could start by investigating the culture in the internet so that I can have an opinion and be informed about the way of thinking of that culture, why they are the way they are, and then accept them because of who they are and respect our differences. I could also watch some movies based on the culture so that I can understand every aspect of it, and analyzing it so that I have everything loud and clear and not be an ignorant person. I am going to accept more and start judging less because everyone deserves to be treated respectfully. Finally, I am going to stop making stereotypes and assumptions of other cultures so that I can have an open mind and respect others so they respect me.

Conclusion: I think I am a cultural aware person because I respect others cultures and my own and I know my culture a lot, I have values and I know the native language and value tradition as this culture takes pride in it, I love the food. Mexican culture is very traditional, I am not that traditional but I respect people who are, Mexican culture is not open minded but I respect cultures that are open minded, I think I could be more cultural aware changing my attitude towards some of my beliefs that other people do not share with me and act politer and embrace other ideas to work things out with other cultures....
