She makes a difference by learning about the community, and the people within it, she always lends an ear to listen to these people and their stories, when no one else would. 3. How is rural healthcare different from everywhere else? Rural healthcare is different from everywhere else because there is little to no simple access to health care providers. Rural healthcare is different because it is an area that is economically depressed, there are not many jobs available and there are people that are barely scraping by. 4. Who is Dr. Thomas Bailey? Doctor Thomas Bailey like his patients grew up in poverty, he never really had good access to healthcare, especially not good healthcare. He started the Bailey family foundation in order to help these people who struggled like him in order to receive the important good healthcare necessary. 5. What is the Community Match Program? The Community Match Program forgives medical school debt so that these physicians can open a practice and help out others in need, without having to deal with medical school debt piling up on them. The Pillow Clinic is a great example of this program, this program helps doctors set up their practices in rural areas. 6. What is the key change needed in the U.S. for good healthcare? The key change needed in the United States in order for good healthcare to be available around the country is having more affordable health insurance in order to help the population and their long-term healthcare. 7. What is one of the most serious problems in rural U.S.? A few of the serious problems that occur in the rural United States is Diabetes, obesity, heart disease, hypertension, smoking and drinking problems. 8. What is a major problem for many people in rural U.S.? A major problem for many people within the rural United States is transportation. People who need certain medical care do not have the facilities in order to get to these medical offices. 9. Why do the Pillow doctors see disease at the end stage?
